Aquaman and Mera were busy uniting the kingdoms. Despite this Meras voice and accent are completely different in this version of the movie which also changes her persona slightly. Coincidentally another change to Mera in this version is her peculiar accent which sounds nothing like she did in Aquaman.

Mera only appeared briefly in the theatrical version of Justice League which really only established enough for her to show back up in 2018s Aquaman. Heres how the film makes the future queen of Atlantis sound like a typical fantasy character. Meras accent has changed One of the most surprising and unusual changes made to the Snyder Cut comes from a character who isnt in the movie for a terribly long amount of screen time.

Mera as in the theatrical version and in 2018s Aquaman is played by Amber Heard. Some viewers have noticed that the vaguely British accent that Heard uses for the character in Zack Snyders Justice League is strange especially since it isnt present in Aquaman. Yeah that threw me off big time.

Mera has an accent in Zack Snyders Justice League while she loses it in Aquaman. It sounded like a bastardised Aussie and British mash up. Mera recently got some new screen time thanks to Zack Snyders Justice League.

Okay so that actually happened in Aquaman except it was King Orm uniting the seven kingdoms not Aquaman. Strange that she used an American accent in AM. Amber Heard does have a little accent but it doesnt quite sound British in the original Aquaman movie but ultimately Scott is correct.
